Street Photography – Brickfields, Malaysia
I have always been a fan of street photography. As most photographers I have been inspired like many others by the father of modern day photojournalism the great Henri Cartier-Bresson. However it had occurred to me that I had yet to really venture into this category of photography. Most people would think that it is the easiest means of photography, however I beg to differ. So I decided to wake up early on a Sunday morning which frankly is really rare unless I’m going for a hiking trip. Also managed to persuade my good friend and photographer Rusdi to join me in my adventure to a small market located in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.
Bangkok Trip in Black & White
I was going through my old hard drive and found these photos of my trip to Bangkok way back in 2009. Here are some of the photos from that trip which I managed to salvage, I decided to have them all in black&white which I believe give a different mood in comparison to the normal vivid color travel photos.
Pulau Pangkor
It had probably been 10 years since I last visited Pulau Pangkor, anyway my family and I decided to have small vacation so we decided to give the island a try. One of the reasons was that its located relatively near to Kuala Lumpur. It took us about 3 hours to drive from the capital to the jetty town of Lumut. Upon arriving in Lumut we realize that much had changed over the years, there were now convenient covered car parks for travelers to leave their cars, a new jetty terminal and many restaurants and shops.
